The course at the George Golf Club is a beautifully manicured 72-par, 18-hole course with bent greens, set in the heart of the Garden Route. The course rating for men is either 68 (forward – 5542m), 70 (club – 5862m) or 72 (championship – 6162m), while that for the ladies is 72 (5204m).
Visitors are welcome daily, with the exception of Wednesday and Saturday afternoons, which are reserved for Members and their guests. Booking for golf is essential. Please note that no group bookings are allowed on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Nestled on the shores of the Knysna Lagoon on the Garden Route and close to the Heads, the Knysna Golf Club’s 18-hole course meanders through tidal pools and magnificent indigenous trees.
The testing links / parkland layout has been enhanced over the past ten years and the course has some of the best greens in the Southern Cape. Although flat and easy to walk, the course still provides players of all levels with a good challenge and is an affordable golfing experience not to be missed while touring the area.
The Mossel Bay Golf Club was founded in 1905 with the original golf course positioned at the old aerodrome. The land on which the present course is built was made available to the Club by the Mossel Bay Municipality in 1924. The course was designed by Bob Grimsdell and was built over a period of two years.
The Plettenberg Bay Country Club has an 18-hole golf course set in a private nature reserve that is a highly rated and very popular tourist destination.
The course is easy to walk and the lush Kikuyu grass fairways and bayview greens have recently been over seeded to bent grass, providing golfers with an excellent playing surface on this park-like golf course.
Despite intense competition from the beautiful white beaches and rolling surf of Plettenberg Bay, the club is busy and booking is essential. Vistors are welcome.

Originally designed by Gary Player, Fancourtâs Montagu course has developed into one of the finest 18-hole parkland layouts.
Providing a riveting golfing experience, this tree-lined course covers large tracts of varying terrain.
- Outeniqua Golf Course
Fancourtâs Outeniqua presents an 18-hole course that is tailored for a laid-back golfing experience. The course provides for easier game play than the Montagu, while offering its fair share of challenges and water hazards on as many as 11 of its holes.
Designed by Gary Player and named after the mountain range that forms its breathtaking backdrop, the course is able to accommodate a large number of players.
A detailed stroke saver takes golfers through both courses, providing distance measurements and images to assist players with navigating the courses. A warm-up area, featuring a full-length range and a chipping and bunker practice area, is available to golfers before play. Golf carts are available for hire, weather permitting.
The Goose Valley Golf Club is situated in pristine surroundings just outside Plettenberg Bay, bordering on the Keurbooms Lagoon. The unique siting of the golf course on a sand dune allows for easy drainage providing the perfect base for year round play, even after heavy rains.
The Club offers a splendid Gary Player-designed 72 par, 18-hole signature golf course, which encompasses breathtaking views of the Keurbooms Lagoon, Indian Ocean, Tsitsikamma Mountains and the famous Robberg Peninsula. Natural fynbos, indigenous trees and an abundance of animal and bird life bring a special dimension to your golfing experience.
The Clubhouse has an elegant restaurant and bar, serving a delightful variety of light meals. The well-stocked Pro-shop handles green fees, golf cart and golf club hire. There is also a state-of-the-art driving range with practice chipping, putting and bunker play facilities.
The setting of this Ernie Els designed, 18-hole championship golf course is dramatic and maximised by the impact of its natural, rugged and beautiful surroundings.
Oubaai Golf Club has its philosophy rooted in flexibility; the course itself has been sculpted into the landscape, ensuring that the surrounding environment is enhanced. The result is a lush stretch of land that is framed by the magnificent Outeniqua Mountains, which hover in the distance, while the Gwaing River Valley winds just below the course.
The golf course and the Pro-Shop are closed on Mondays.
The booking sheet opens to Members, 15 days in advance and to Visitors, 6 days in advance. However, during low season, we can assist a little earlier. Visitors making bookings must provide credit card details in order to secure tee time.
